Since the well-publicized exhibition, Open House, at the Brooklyn Museum in 2005, Brooklyn artists have generated enormous interest in the art world. Artists in Brooklyn command a unique place and our Borough hosts one of the highest concentration of resident artists anywhere.

To celebrate this awareness, Simon Liu, a professional establisher in Brooklyn, invited nineteen Brooklyn artists and threw a party with an exhibition from April 11 - April 30, 2005. After the Inaugural party, art exhibitions continue on a monthly or bi-monthly basis to celebrate and highlight the diversity and individualistic styles of any artist that wish to be exhibited there.

Curator Leon Nicholas Kalas, a Brooklyn artist and former gallery owner, sees Brooklyn as the pinnacle of the art world of tomorrow. Among his other Curatorial exhibitions are "When Brooklyn Artists Speak, Art Listens" at Brooklyn Borough Hall Community Room Gallery in January of this year.
