This modification of the mid-19th century Italian Stretcher has a simple closed mortise and tenon joint. Because the joint is centralized, when keyed out, torque is minimized. The interlocking forked key also provides better grip for the keys.

Available in flat back and beveled back profiles. Constructed out of sugar pine. Please note that there will be an additional fee for beveled back profile.
