"I have collaborated with Simon Liu’s team on many projects through the years and can always count on precise, high-quality surfaces.  My paintings often consist of custom, irregular-shaped designs that Simon Liu helps me realize through innovation and attention to detail.  I don’t believe there is an idea that I could dream up that Simon Liu could not figure out how to fabricate."

“I’ve been working with Simon and company for longer than I can remember. His knowledge of materials and construction techniques are unmatched. There is a reason so many artists continue to depend on him and his studio. For me, his expertise has taken on a “next level” of excellence with his construction of the large wooden puzzle pieces I have had gilded with crushed aluminum leaf. For this I am forever grateful that Simon and company remain a significant part of my artist’s life. It’s the edges, It’s the light, It’s the light!”

  • “Simon is an enthusiastic outside-the-box thinker…Together, we have figured out ways to make all kinds of panels. The hardest one simulated a tilted room in perspective…In all honesty, it was just as beautiful raw and unpainted as it was a finished artwork. I wouldn’t be here without Simon and I think many artists would say the same.”

Kate Shepherd | Artist | New York

They have been a part of over 30 shows of mine, and to my knowledge, not one stretcher has ever had to be altered. My deep gratitude in being associated with their fine enterprise and the quality they represent.”

Robert Kelly | Artist | New York

  • "Having worked with Simon Liu Inc. for over 26 years while conserving paintings at the Brooklyn Museum (1986 – 2012), I cannot adequately praise his masterful creation of supports (stretchers, strainers, and panels). If an original stretcher needed to be replaced due to structural failure, it was Simon who replicated the stretcher to the millimeter. The original support was archived in the museum storage facility. There was never a reason to alter the dimensions of the painting nor flatten the turnover/ tacking margins for re-stretching onto a newly made Simon Liu support. I referred all artists and conservation colleagues to Simon Liu Inc. and still do."
